The foundation of this document stems from the seven listening sessions and diocesan-wide survey conducted in the fall 2016. It is the resulting fruit of an extensive period of reflection and discernment on how to adhere to the command of Christ to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Mt. 28:19-20). The strategies presented in this document offer guidance on how we ought to approach evangelization in the Diocese of St. Augustine and solicits the collaborative efforts of pastors and laity to fulfill the sacred command in becoming missionary disciples for Jesus Christ.

In this pastoral letter, Bishop Estévez presents the mission and vision of the Diocese of St. Augustine by emphasizing the significance of stewardship in our daily lives. Stewardship is the response of a grateful heart to all we have received from God, who is the Creator and Author of all.
